P3+Uplift is partnering with an established organization in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area to identify an Information Technology Specialist. This individual will serve as a key technical resource, ensuring IT systems, network infrastructure, and business applications operate efficiently and reliably. This role combines hands-on technical support with coordination across internal teams to support site-level technology needs.
Location: Cedar Rapids/Iowa City and surrounding areas (local candidates only)
Travel: Up to 25–30% within a ~100-mile radius (no overnight travel)
Additional Requirement: Clean driving record over the past 7 years; fleet vehicle provided for travel
Requirements
- Experience working with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools for ticketing, inventory, and documentation
- Proficiency in scripting for automation (PowerShell)
- Hands-on experience with endpoint management, including hardware, firmware, and peripherals
- Ability to install, configure, and support network hardware and connectivity (WAN or external circuits)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, hardware, and integrated applications
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Coordination
- Provide day-to-day support for IT systems, hardware, and site-specific technology needs
- Deliver on-site support across multiple locations within the region
- Collaborate with internal teams to align technical solutions with business operations
- Serve as a point of contact for site-level technical needs and coordination
Endpoint Management, Automation & Systems Support
- Manage and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and specialized equipment
- Perform system patching, firmware updates, and security maintenance
- Support and maintain desktop productivity tools and site-specific applications, including installation and troubleshooting
- Develop or modify basic scripting/automation to improve efficiency (PowerShell)
- Maintain accurate asset inventory and documentation within ITSM tools (Service Desk Plus or similar, SCCM, Zoho Endpoint Central)
Network & Infrastructure Support
- Install and configure physical network equipment and connectivity components (Cisco, Meraki)
- Support network performance by monitoring connectivity and assisting with troubleshooting
- Communicate maintenance activities and system status to stakeholders as needed
Documentation, Reporting & Support Processes
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and status updates
- Track support activity and maintain records within ITSM systems
- Participate in team collaboration and occasional on-call support
